Jorge Martinez, M.D., was raised in the Pacific Northwest and completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Biology in 2010. Jorge attended Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, and received his Doctorate of Medicine in 2014. After medical school Dr. Martinez relocated to Seattle for resident physician training at the University of Washington. He completed a medical internship and two additional years of post-graduate training in critical care and anesthesiology at the University of Washington Medical Centers. In 2018 Dr. Martinez entered the Department of Psychiatry as a resident psychiatrist and began his specialty training. While at the University of Washington he had the opportunity to learn by treating individuals with mental health disorders throughout the Seattle area. Psychiatry training included clinic and hospital based patient care, as well as consultation services and specialized interventional psychiatry. Emphasis was placed on a patient centered approach, collaborative care, and evidence based medicine. Dr. Martinez completed the University of Washington Psychiatry and Behavioral Science residency program in 2021. He remained in Washington to join the Center for Anxiety and Depression and is currently seeing patients ages 18 and up. His practice focuses on the treatment of depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, and ADHD. Dr. Martinez provides individualized care using evidence-based treatments including medications, supportive psychotherapy, and neuropsychiatric interventions such as TMS and esketamine. Dr. Martinez looks forward to continuing to provide care for individuals in the Seattle area and is currently accepting new patients.
