Dr. Erkut began her career 20 years ago working as a psychiatry research assistant at UC San Francisco. She attended undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley where she double majored in Psychology and Integrative Biology. She went to the Mayo Clinic for medical school in 2006. She loved her time at Mayo, especially her classmates and studying medicine. Her most cherished rotation was, of course, psychiatry, and she chose a psychiatry residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. At the UW, she was chief resident of the outpatient clinic and she founded the psychotherapy career track. She completed additional training at the Seattle Psychoanalytic Institute where she graduated as a psychoanalyst in 2018.

Dr. Erkut has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient private practice, forensics, inpatient, the VA, partial hospitalization, and residential treatment. At the Center for Anxiety and Depression, she provides medications, TMS, supportive/psychoanalytic psychotherapy and esketamine to adults and adolescents ages 13 and up. She enjoys working with adolescents and has a special interest in women’s health.
